 Judge Nonkosi Zoliswa Mhlantla of the Constitutional Court of South Africa was born on May 2, 1964. She was appointed to the court in December 2015 after serving as a Supreme Court of Appeal judge from December 2008 to November 2015.  

She started her legal career as a lawyer in her native Port Elizabeth. In June 2002, she was appointed to the bench, making history as the first female judge to sit in the Eastern Cape Division of the South African High Court.
